Industries

Same modules. Completely different problem.

An automotive inbound dock and a pharmaceutical cold store both run SAP EWM. Almost nothing else about them is the same. These are the constraints we design around, sector by sector.

01

Discrete & industrial manufacturing

Inbound reliability decides output.

A line stops for a missing part, not for a missing report. Execution work here concentrates on inbound sequencing, supplier delivery discipline, kitting and staging to the line, and the yard flow that keeps trailers from becoming the bottleneck.

Typically SAP EWMSAP TM
02

Automotive & components

Just-in-sequence leaves no slack anywhere.

Call-off driven inbound, sequenced supply to the line, returnable packaging that has to be tracked as an asset, and inbound freight where a delay measured in hours is a production event. Visibility here is an operational control, not a dashboard.

03

Pharmaceuticals & life sciences

Every movement must be evidenced.

Batch and serial control, expiry-driven allocation, temperature-controlled handling and validated processes. The requirement is not just to do the right thing but to be able to prove it years later — which changes how traceability and audit trails are designed.

04

Retail & e-commerce

Order profile changes faster than the warehouse can.

Single-line orders alongside pallet replenishment, seasonal peaks measured in multiples rather than percentages, and returns as a genuine inbound stream. Wave design and picking strategy carry most of the load.

Typically SAP EWMSAP TM
05

Third-party logistics

Your process is your client's process, times twenty.

Multi-client warehousing with different rules per contract, billing driven by measured activity, and onboarding speed as a commercial differentiator. The system has to be templated for repetition without collapsing every client into the same process.

06

Chemicals & process

Regulation is part of the physical process.

Dangerous goods handling, segregation and storage constraints that the putaway strategy must enforce rather than advise, bulk and container handling, and export controls that apply to the material itself.

Typically SAP EWMSAP GTS
07

Consumer products

Retailer compliance is non-negotiable.

Delivery windows, labelling and ASN requirements set by the customer, promotional volume spikes, and freight cost-to-serve visibility at the customer and channel level — because the margin conversation happens per account.

Typically SAP TMSAP EWM
08

High tech & electronics

Controlled goods and short product lives.

Export control classification that changes with the product roadmap, serialised high-value stock, global distribution with preference claims worth real money, and reverse logistics for repair and replacement.

Your sector

Yours not listed?

The list reflects where we see this work most often, not a restriction. If goods move and SAP is the system of record, the conversation is worth having.
